Beat the Heat

Hey peeps!
The summer season has started and as all of us are aware of the heat waves which we are going to face ahead.
The data showed in past revealed the country’s worst heatwave in the city, which killed around 1,500 people in 2015.So here you need to know with all the information to beat the heat wave this summer.
Basically heatstroke or extreme heat waves occur when the temperature reaches extremely high levels when the combination of heat and humidity cause the air to become oppressive.
It ultimately affects the human body to severe condition which may result in death if precautions are not adopted within a time.
According to researchers at Climate Central, when the “temperature exceeds 40 degrees Celsius it becomes difficult for the body to cool itself”. This can lead to dehydration, exhaustion, dizziness, and other problems in the body — and often even death.
Dehydration is the major cause of heat stroke because heat absorbed in your body could not cool down by sweating due to lack of water.
So the first and foremost thing to do is to remain hydrated in this hot season.
To stay hydrated you need to drink lots and lots of water.
Carry around with you a bottle of water and sip it constantly throughout the day.
You may opt to drink homemade fresh juice or coconut water and ORS as well. This will super hydrate you and keep you cool.
Try to avoid heavy meals including fried and spicy junk food. Instead have smaller more frequent meals.
Stay indoors if you don't have an important thing to do outside.
If you must go out, avoid direct sun exposure, wear sunglasses, light clothing, apply sunblock to help lower your skin temperature. It will help you to stay cool.
However if you found someone the victim of heat stroke give them emergency aid only if you know it!
Make the person to Shady place or Indoors.
Call for doctor, continue to next step while waiting for doctor to come.
Have the person lie down with the feet raised.
Make him drink water or consume light juice ORS water.
Cool down the person by spraying cool water. You can use ice pack or damp sheet of towel to the armpit, wrist, and ankles.
Use fan to direct air onto the body.
By adopting these emergency aid, patient can survive in better condition until professional check up.
By telling you all the stuff related to heat stroke, my purpose is to give Awareness to beat the heat to all my fellow human beings. But one thing that I need to mention is just like we care about our self. Think about the same for the innocent animals and birds which also affected by this heat wave.
Give them water too. Plant more trees to keep your environment healthy and refreshed which ultimately served the creature of Allah by all means.
